A few years ago, if someone had asked me to treat my Saturdays as a weekday, I’d have judged that someone to have poor work-life balance.
However, the pandemic and the way it reshaped workflows + accountability has changed my thoughts on the above.
In the last few years, my Saturdays have changed for the better.
My calendar is usually filled with meetings / events (both offline and online) where I witness the peak of community contributions. Volunteer meets and session attendance have remained 100% most of the time and continue to be so.
This is not just me. I’ve heard many SaaS founders at SaaSBoomi resonate with this emotion. They feel more included and involved when we schedule agendas on Saturdays.
Saturdays define parties no more, as we’re all wired to be more productive on that day of the week.
But then, it’s not always about work either.
At SaaSBoomi, we’ve always remained relationship-driven. Our huddles often include discussions about our personal life and how we can, as a community and as individuals, help each other do better.
To me, our community has been a safe sanctum where I can express myself at both professional and personal levels. This ability to connect at dual levels helps us bond like no other community / volunteering network in the country. This is also very evident from the energy that transcends to our offsite and other retreat programs.
Not to mention that the above has been the driving factor for SaaSBoomi to receive more inquiries about volunteering. People simply want to lend a hand because they feel valued and recognized as fellow human beings.
SaaSBoomi venturing into the GCC with Qafila 2024, designing the next edition of SaaSBoomi Awards, and the undying pay-it-forward motion in every initiative we deploy are simply the outcomes of this volunteering influx.
Our volunteers do it simply because of who they are, and we stand alongside them as a brand that represents India SaaS like no other because of this camaraderie.
As we set sail into another year, I hope this spirit shines stronger and forays into the far ends of the world where ?? SaaS awaits to seek refuge.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year. See you on the other side! ✨
