SaaSBoomi today is a thriving community of 125+ volunteers, each committed, in their own capacity, to achieving a single goal: making ?? a Product Nation.
I vividly remember my first meeting with each of them, and it’s moments like these that make me feel SaaSBoomi is truly blessed to have their unwavering support.
It’s a feeling that lifts you from within—a fitting irony, as I write this while cruising at 35,000 feet above sea level, over the Pacific, heading towards the Bay Area.
Over the past five years, we’ve received plenty of unsolicited advice. Yet, our volunteers have collectively ensured that we stay true to our ethos, never straying from the principles that have shaped our community-building journey.
We stand for something deeper than transactional relationships, monetizing events, or networking with hidden agendas. We stand for lifting others, for creating platforms that foster an exchange of knowledge, and for crafting experiences that forge lasting friendships and timeless memories.
That’s what SaaSBoomi has been—and will continue to be—for years to come.
While the B2B landscape often presents decisions as a simple YES or NO, our approach has always been a resounding YES to the requests of our tribe, followed by a commitment to retrofitting those requests into what they do best.
As we prepare to launch the third edition of the Caravan, it’s no different. It’s a classic case of retrofitting what our community wants to learn about succeeding in the US, brought together by a group of misfits who each bring something uniquely valuable to the table.
Personally, if given the choice, I lean towards smaller, more intimate events. But there’s a certain magic in larger events, too. Caravan, in particular, grows bigger each year, and it’s my sincere hope that our impact grows along with it.
Of course, larger events come with new levels of pressure. Our team, along with the volunteers, goes through immense effort to deliver the best possible experience.
From navigating different time zones to coordinating beyond personal schedules, offering candid feedback, brainstorming creative ideas, and finalizing the best format, there’s true synergy at play in making Caravan a reality.
Caravan ’24 almost feels like a Hollywood production—a film we loved making. Now, it’s up to the people—how they receive it and rate it at the box office.
We don’t know if it’ll be a blockbuster, but one thing is certain: it will leave a lasting memory, just like our past events, a memory that brings a smile to the face of every SaaS founder.
For now, all I can say is: that the magic is in the making. ✨
