Anna being a single parent with two children aged under five, she couldn’t afford to feed her family with five portions of fruit and vegetables a day as recommended by the Government. Instead, their diet was an unhealthy mix of high fat, sugar, salt and processed foods.
Alexandra Rose Charities is an organisation working to address food poverty and the crisis in young people’s diets. The charity helped Anna’s family with their ‘Rose Vouchers Initiative’ – a project which supports pregnant women and families living on low incomes to eat healthier and improve their overall well-being. Thanks to the weekly food vouchers, Anna’s kids have swapped crisps and sugary sweets for a balanced diet that includes fruits and vegetables.

The organisation turned to iProbono to help them in shifting their strategy to focus on the Rose Vouchers project. To help them in this endeavour, iProbono matched the charity with global law firm Dentons, which provided pro bono support in the following ways:
- Redeveloping their articles of association after the charity changed its ethos
- Providing strategic intellectual property advice
