In 1999, she became the first woman to ascend to the position of President of the Family Division of the High Court of Justice, making history as the then-highest-ranking woman judge in the United Kingdom.  She has played a pivotal role in shaping this country’s landscape of legal and social justice. She has championed the rights of vulnerable communities and individuals within the realm of family law.
