We are thrilled to welcome Baroness Elizabeth Butler Sloss as iProbono’s new Patron. Her appointment marks a significant milestone in iProbono’s journey and continues our commitment to advancing the cause of legal and social justice.

A Distinguished Career in the Pursuit of Justice

Baroness Butler Sloss boasts a remarkable career that spans decades in the pursuit of justice and equality. In 1999, she became the first woman to ascend to the position of President of the Family Division of the High Court of Justice, making history as the then-highest-ranking woman judge in the United Kingdom.  She has played a pivotal role in shaping this country’s landscape of legal and social justice. She has championed the rights of vulnerable communities and individuals within the realm of family law. This unflinching dedication to the principles of fairness and equity makes Baroness Butler-Sloss an ideal advocate for iProbono’s mission, and we are deeply honoured that she has chosen to support our efforts.

iProbono’s Unwavering Commitment to Access to Justice

At iProbono, our mission is to enable people to access their rights in pursuit of a just society. As our new Patron, Baroness Butler Sloss adds fresh impetus to our efforts to create positive change in the legal field.

Our work extends far beyond the confines of a traditional non-profit. We believe that justice should be accessible to all, regardless of their socio-economic status. By connecting skilled legal professionals with individuals and organisations in need, we bridge the gap between the law and those who require its protection.

We take pride in the impact our work has had on the lives of individuals and communities. Together, our team has spearheaded groundbreaking legal victories, policy changes, and improvements in access to justice across South Asia, the UK and beyond.

Baroness Butler Sloss’s guidance and influence will undoubtedly strengthen our ability to support the vulnerable, elevate communities, and sustain our impact. As we embark on this exciting journey with Baroness Sloss, we extend a warm invitation for you to join us in our mission. Keep an eye out for updates on our upcoming initiatives and projects through our website or our social media handles (Instagram, Facebook, X formerly Twitter, and LinkedIn).
